As a former corporate criminal defence lawyer in a top 10 global law firm, I spent 17 years defending large organisations facing criminal regulatory investigations and prosecutions, before following my passion and specialising in psychology.

A common theme in the cases I dealt with as a lawyer was the absence of psychological safety – employees often knew that there were regulatory compliance issues before incidents occurred, but they did not feel they could ‘speak up’ with their concerns / report near misses etc, without fear of reprisal.

The science behind psychological safety is truly fascinating and I am passionate about supporting organisations in their journey to enhance their corporate culture.
